Seemly scarce to many
But I’ve had the fortune of knowing a few

It’s hard to describe
That connection with another
Brand new but seemingly timeless

Your soul understands theirs
On a level unknown, even to you
A breed of trust that is unspoken

The knowing of kindheartedness
The lack of fear to show them your darkness
The easy acceptance when they encounter it

Those kindred spirits who see you
