Love Your Little Sister

I wondered what it would take.
To finally clear your eyes
We all could see
While you chose to stay blind

I’ve got so many scars from those days.
So much pain I’ve tried to bury.
Along with your memory.

You started this war
With no intent on winning
We went to battle for you with no armor

We fought hard for you
And in some ways we died for you.
I can’t come back from all I’ve seen
And neither can you.

I don’t say this lightly
my love for you died in that war
The shell of your former self is nothing but a casket
For all of our hopes and dreams for you.

Your body is now nothing more than a vessel
The vessel you will take to the grave with you
While your mind lays idly sick in its lonely abyss.

You turned your brain to mush
While devouring the hearts and souls of your loved ones
Love is an emotion we cannot control
And you lost the love of your little sister
When you went on your journey through self proclaimed hell on earth.

I don’t remember the day I stopped loving you
In fact I try not to remember you at all.

You can’t break my heart anymore big brother
If you even have one left
I hope that breaks yours..

Love,
Your little sister
